Posting here has been light over the summer because I was getting ready for my trip to Europe and then I spent a month in Europe.
My trip included a stop in Budapest, Hungary for some training and to watch the 2017 Fina World Championships.
I was only there during bracket play but I was able to watch the rest of the tournament on TV during my next stop.
The first stop was Split, Croatia for a few days of training at Jadran Split.
It was here that I also ran into Josip Pavić. Josip was the goalie for team Croatia when they won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics and the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Ivan was on the 2012 gold medal team too and rejoined the team for their Fina World Championship run. I met him 6 years ago in Croatia too.
I have a series of photos of Josip playing in the goal from this recent trip that I will share in a separate post.
After the water polo portion of my trip, I spent 11 days hiking in the Swiss Alps and then I headed to London for the opening weekend of the English Premier League.
I’m back and the college season just started. New posts are coming shortly.
